Robo-Racer Workshop is an interactive, hands-on way to introduce the principles of robotics and engineering conducted by ALARM Robotics. It is an  “Engineering in a Nutshell” experience. Participants are grouped into teams and given a bag of miscellaneous LEGO Technic pieces,  motors and a Hub, and given 45 minutes to complete a working “racer.” Teams then test their bots on a three-foot track and continue to improve and test until the tournament-style race at the end. Our workshop will allow 75 minutes for building, testing, racing, cheering, and fun! In the last 15 minutes, we will summarize the Robo-Racer Workshop learnings and introduce FIRST robotics competitions.

This program is for children in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade.  It is the library's policy that an parent/adult  stays in the building with any child age 10 and under.. Thank you for following this policy.
